Mrs. Anaman said that the efforts of WFP and partner country agencies to improve the nutritional and micronutrient status of children in Ghana will be supported by the Rockefeller Foundation through the Catalyzing Quality Food through School Meals project. WFP Ghana’s Social Protection Officer also revealed that they are working with the Ministry of Agriculture and GES to promote school gardening.
Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Shani Alhassan Saib, in a speech read on his behalf by the DCE in Tron, said that he is working with the GES, the School Feeding Program, the Ghana Health Service and other partners to build the capacity of school caterers. Other locations where these exercises took place include Navrongo in the Upper East Region and Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.
