Philip Boakye Dua Oyinka, popularly known as Nana Asase, an author, literary coach and poet, has said that if he were president, he would reform departments and divisions within the Ministry of Tourism.
The department feels there is too much duplication of roles, and if elected president, he would eliminate all of these roles and reorganize them to avoid duplication.

He further said that unless the two industries cooperate, the tourism sector will greatly outstrip arts and culture. He urged both organizations to work together.
When asked if he would change anything if he became tourism minister but not president, and what he would do to improve the tourism sector, he replied: “I always make promises and keep them.
