His ensign Democratic National Convention, NDC, John Dramani Mahama, says technology and digitization will be key components of his 24-hour Economic Policy when voted into power. He recognized the importance of Technology in enhancing the productivity and efficiency of human resources in the workplace.
Mr. Mahama said his government will seriously adopt Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, in industry and all sectors of the economy to give the country a more global platform. The former President was speaking on the 2nd day of the ongoing 75th New Year School and Conference in Accra.
The NDC Standard Bearer, former President John Dramani Mahama has arrived at the University of Ghana grounds hosting the 75th New Year School and Conference amid cheers and chants from students and conference participants.
In his speech, Mr. Mahama acknowledged the importance of technology in national development, saying it is the surest way to place the country in the developed world category.
He reminded Ghanaians of the NDC administration’s faith in technology by first establishing the National Communications Authority, NCA and GIFEC among others years ago to regulate and develop the use of technology in every sector of the economy.
Former President Mahama has promised to make technology, especially artificial intelligence, an integral part of his 24-hour economic agenda if he takes office to give the country’s development a global perspective.
Responding to questions from the crowd, Mr Mahama promised to abolish the Article 75 Office holders salary structure so that there is pay equity on the labor front.
He also said that his government will review the implementation of some policies in the education sector to make it more robust.
