Cheddar and his wife were caught kneeling at the altar (right) (Bishop Charles Aginasare)
A photo of Cheddar and his wife kneeling at the church altar while receiving prayers from Bishop Charles Aginasare went viral on social media.
Nana Kwame Bediako (Mr. Cheddar), a member of Peres Chapel International, was seen facing the congregation while receiving prayers from the general overseer.
In the photo above, the New Force movement founder and presidential candidate was seen holding hands with his wife and “immersed” in prayer.
Netizens reacted massively to this, with some praising him for seeking divine intervention in his political quest and others criticizing him for embarking on a fruitless adventure.
However, in the past, many politicians, both members and non-members of Bishop Agynasare’s church, have been arrested for asking clergy for prayers.
Sam George, former President Mahama and other NDC leaders were recently seen receiving prayers from the Peres Chapel founder.
Cheddar’s presidential ambitions, reaction to netizens questioning his behavior on social media
Not so long ago, netizens were questioning Cheddar’s respectability and juxtaposing it with this newfound political ambition.
The 43-year-old has been spotted numerous times hanging out with top national and international celebrities, including the likes of Floyd Mayweather.
Mr Cheddar, who describes himself as a socialite online, worries people have the wrong idea of who he is.
During a debate on Joy FM, he urged Ghanaians to refocus their attention on the substance of their political messages rather than their own prospects.
