Abidjan, Ivory Coast – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the squad for the just concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Core d’Ivoire with Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen missing from the list.
The best 11 players were selected from five countries β Ivory Coast, Nigeria, South Africa, Congo and Equatorial Guinea.
The football governing body announced the list via its X handle (formerly known as Twitter) @CAF_Onlineon Wednesday, February 14.

The Champion β Ivory Coast Elephant had 3 players and the runner-up, Super Eagles of Nigeria, also had 3 players.
Two South African Bafana Bafana players made the list, as did the Congolese national team, with Equatorial Guinea striker and PUMA Golden Boot Award WinnerEmilio Nsue

The lads looked dapper in matching green senators and were mobbed by excited fans and football enthusiasts.
Midfielder Alex Iwobi, who has been the subject of cyberbullying, was all smiles as people took pictures with him.
