Northern regional executives of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have expressed disappointment over ethnocentric comments made by National Democratic Congress (NDC) General Secretary Fifi Kweti.
The executives cited a video in which Mr Kweti made ethnocentric insults against the Vice President and NPP flag bearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, during the NDC flag bearer’s recent visit to the northern region.
At a press conference in Tamale, Northern Region Nuclear Power Public Relations Director Yusif Danjuma accused the opposition secretary of labeling Dr Bawumia a “disgrace to the North” and a departure from the politics of ideas and data.
