Guinness World Records (GWR) has revealed that Afua Asantewaa Aduonum’s sing-a-thon attempt was rejected due to unmet guidelines on rest break rules.
This comes in response to an email request from Ghana Business News asking GWR why her details were rejected.

Afua Asantewaa completed more than 126 hours in her singing marathon, which started on December 24, 2023 to December 29, in a bid to break the 11-year GWR mark set in 2012 by India’s Sunil Waghmare.
She commented on the ban and said she will announce her next line of action in a few days.
“Thank you all for your love and support” she said in a post on her Instagram account.
The GWR has strict rules about challenging or setting records, as well as archival attempts. Candidates must strictly follow the instructions by following the step by step procedures to avoid rejection.
