The Manhyia South Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Adjei Mensa Ofori Attah, popularly known as “Tom Tom”, is joined by the party’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako. He said he had no intention of apologizing.

According to Chairman Wontumi, the constituency chairman on two different platforms accused him of “selling” the NPP vice-presidential slot to the highest bidder.
He then gave Ofori-Atta a 48-hour ultimatum to prove his claims or retract and apologize.
Chairman Wontumi said if Ofori-Atta did not comply with the ultimatum, he would have no choice but to resort to legal action.
“While the public is urged to dismiss and ignore these baseless claims as they lack substance, Mr. Richard Adjei Mensa Ofori-Atta; You have 48 hours to substantiate these allegations or make an unconditional apology to Chairman Bernard Antwi,” the party in Boasiako and Ashanti Region.

“If he does not comply, we will have no choice but to take legal action against him,” the statement claimed.
However, responding to the threat, Ofori-Atta said he was under no obligation to apologize to the regional chairman.
He also stressed that he was prepared to “meet in court.”
“For now, I am waiting for the so-called 48-hour ultimatum to pass and be lifted from there,” he added.
