INTERACT+ project partners under the EU’s Erasmus+ umbrella met from 12 to 15 March in Linz, Switzerland, united in their commitment to revolutionize the sports delivery model. Led by TAFISA (Association for International Sport for All) and led by FISU and other valued partners, the INTERACT+ project aims to mobilize international sports organizations (ISOs), national federations (NFs) and sports clubs to promote Sport for All .
The meeting, orchestrated by the International Fistball Federation, featured intense discussions and strategic planning sessions. Focal points included improving deliverables, meticulously tracking tasks and formulating effective communication strategies. Participants delve into specific work packages tailored to advance the project mission. Notable among these were initiatives such as ‘Making the Case for Sport for All in the Sport Movement’, led by the University of Limerick, and ‘Epowering the Sport Movement to Develop and Promote Sport for All’, presented by the International Table Tennis Foundation and European Frisbee Federation. FISU took the lead in formulating the Interact Plus Standard and Label for International and National Sports Organizations, envisioning a framework to standardize and incentivize inclusive practices in the sports community.
Also during the meeting, TAFISA outlined ambitious plans for comprehensive capacity building projects with leading global sports organisations. These initiatives underline the collective commitment to promote and enable ‘sport for all’ on a global scale.
The Leeds meeting served as a rallying point for stakeholders to consolidate their efforts, share progress updates and chart a path towards an inclusive sports landscape. With unwavering determination, the INTERACT+ project partners are ready to drive meaningful change and promote a society where sport knows no borders.
