The Lockup Investment Holders Forum will hold a protest against the Bank of Ghana (BoG) today, Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
The demonstration is aimed at urging central banks to address the problem of locked-in investments in financial institutions regulated by central banks.
In a statement, the group’s convener, Dr. Adu A. Antwi, announced that participants would gather at the NDK compound at 9 a.m. and head to the BoG to submit their petition to Governor Dr. Ernest Addison.
“The Lock-Up Investment Holders Forum, a forum calling for the release of locked-up investments in licensed financial institutions to investors, has announced that in order to further press the Forum’s demands against the Bank of , is scheduled to hold a public protest tomorrow, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, demanding resolution of locked-up investments in financial institutions licensed and regulated by the Bank of Ghana.
“Members will gather at the NDK premises at 9am and march to the Bank of Ghana to meet the Governor on the petition and then march to the Ministry of Finance to meet the Minister on the petition.”

Public Outcry by Locked-Up Investment Holder Forum
The Lock-Up Investment Holders Forum, a forum calling for the release of locked-up investments in licensed financial institutions to investors, will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, to further press the Forum’s resolution demands on the Bank of Ghana. A public protest is scheduled to be held. The total amount of investments locked up in financial institutions licensed and regulated by the Bank of Ghana.
Members will assemble at the NDK premises at 9am and march to the Bank of Ghana to meet the Governor on the petition and then march to the Ministry of Finance to meet the Minister on the petition.
