Scout explains the selection process behind the starting line-up for the latest Gameweek of FPL Challenge where forwards will score double points.
Tuesday full of informed attackers
With the forwards scoring double points in Gameweek 31 of the FPL Challenge, it makes sense to have a three-man front line.
There are several in-form strikers appearing on Tuesday afternoon, with Alexander Isaac (£7.7m) looks a must have for Newcastle United’s home game with Everton.
The Swede has six goals, one assist and just one clean sheet in his last six appearances at St James’ Park. Indeed, Isak’s total of 46 points over his last six home games ranks third among all players in Fantasy.
If you want to save cash, Chris Wood (£4.8m) and Rodrigo Muniz (£4.7m) face off as Nottingham Forest take on Fulham, while Crystal Palace Jean-Philippe Mateta (£4.9m) face AFC Bournemouth.
With many managers likely to invest heavily in three strikers to take advantage of double points, Son Heung-min (£10.1m) could prove the difference in Tottenham’s game against West Ham United. The South Korean’s 10-point haul against Luton last weekend was his eighth double-figure return of the season.
Otherwise, a Wolverhampton defender Ryan Ait-Nouri (£4.6m) offers strong all-round prospects against Burnley. The wing guard’s 24 points over his last four games ranked fourth at his position in Fantasy.
Watch Wednesday’s Arsenal and Manchester City team cards for differences
Managers should keep an eye on Arsenal and Manchester City’s squad news on Wednesday evening should a switch be implemented during the midweek round of fixtures.
The trio of shooters Bucayo Saka (£9.0m), Kai Havertz (£7.2m) and Gabriel (£5.3m) can deliver huge hauls at home to Luton, while Gabriel Martinelli (£7.6m) may be another option if he returns to the starting line-up. The Brazilian has 30 points in his last three matches at the Emirates Stadium.
Giving the armband to Erling Haaland (£14.3m) means he is effectively a QUADRUP leader at home to Aston Villa. Goalkeeper Stefan Ortega (£3.7m) is now the cheapest starter in the game with Anderson (£5.5m) away though injury.
Meanwhile, ext Jeremy Doku (£6.4m) could be a very handy option if recalled to the first team by Pep Guardiola.
Load up in Liverpool
Liverpool’s home clash with Sheffield United is one you don’t want to miss.
The Blades have conceded 77 goals in the league, with 17 of those coming in their last five games alone.
Back full speed Conor Bradley he is an absolute steal at just £4.2m as a route into Jurgen Klopp’s rearguard, with plenty of attacking potential.
Triple-teaming their front three also looks like a very productive tactic, with up to five players per club allowed in the FPL Challenge.
Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) has averaged 9.2 points per start at Anfield this season and has kept a clean sheet in just one of those 11 appearances. Luis Diaz (£7.5m) also boasts strong home form. The Colombian has four goals, one assist and just one clean sheet in his last five matches.
Darwin Nunez (£7.6m) has been less impressive of late, but his appeal is boosted by double points in the Challenge.
Again, keep an eye on Liverpool’s team sheet before finalizing your line-up – if the Uruguayan is on the bench on Thursday evening, Cody Gakpo (£7.2m) offer a similarly priced replacement for the Reds.
