A musical event was held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology as part of activities to mark the 25th anniversary of Otumfuo’s accession to the throne.
Dubbed Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Composers Composition, the event saw the grand and mighty hall of KNUST as music groups from all over the country enthralled them with melodious tunes.

Also present were Otumfuo’s family namely his wife, Lady Julia and their children, Nana Afia Kobi and Nana Kwame Kyeretwie.

Wearing a beaming smile, Nana Afia Kobi graced the audience as she applauded the band for the performance.
A throwback photo of Nana Afia Kobi and her family attending a thanksgiving ceremony at the Ramseyer Presbyterian Church, Kumasi against her current photos clearly highlights the massive transformation she has undergone in a year.
At the end of the competition, the Tamale Youth Choir emerged as winners and was awarded GH¢50,000 as prize money.

Second public appearance in a few days
This was the second time Otumfuo’s family made an appearance in a matter of days.
Nana Afia Kobi was recently at the Akwasidae festival, held at the Manhyia Palace.

Otumfuor’s daughter opens up about parenting
Earlier YEN.com.gh reported that Dr. Caryn Agyemang Prempeh, the daughter of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, spoke about her upbringing.
In a video, she said she still doesn’t get the entitlement treatment because she wasn’t raised that way by her father.
She also added that the days when women were stay-at-home mothers were over.
