Scout’s panel of experts discuss this week’s transfer plans in preparation for Double Gameweek 34 (DGW34) at Fantasy Premier Leagueaccording to their chip strategy.
What the experts say
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
When I played the Wildcard in Gameweek 30, my team was set up for DGW34, as well as with potential Double GameWeeks in mind later on. I currently have six players with two matches at DGW34 and then eight possibly doubling at Gameweek 37.
I plan to use my free transfers, two this week and one next week, to bring in two or three more DGW34 players. I’ll move too Son Heung-min (£10.1m) on the bench, along with my Chelsea assets, so they can go straight back in for Double Game Week 35 (DGW35).
Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)
For those like me who don’t use chips in DGW34, having two free carries will be very powerful as we try to bring in DGW34 players with high ceilings, so I plan to put my carry in Gameweek 33.
I’m also open to striking if I feel I need three transfers in DGW34, with players such as Kai Havertz (£7.3m), Luis Diaz (£7.6m), Darwin Nunez (£7.7 million) and indeed Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8.4m) on the wishlist, knowing I’m deadlocked in DGW34 to Wildcard in DGW35.
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
I brought in Alexis McAllister (£5.9m) last week with a view to playing him this week and of course at DGW34. Owned by only 5.2 percent of managers, it could be a nice difference. My squad is in good shape for Gameweek 33 at the moment so it’s possible I’ll make the transfer and have two free transfers for DGW34.
Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick)
I’m planning on using the Free Hit chip on the DGW34, so I’ll take advantage of the doubles as much as possible. Triple Arsenal is a must, as is triple Liverpool. I’m likely to have a few AFC Bournemouth players, plus Ryan Ait-Nouri (£4.7m) from Wolverhampton Wanderers if he is fit. That will leave two free slots – likely from Manchester City – despite only having one game, at Brighton & Hove Albion.
