Togbe Aji Rakul Haus XII, representing Ashouri State House of Assembly, reiterated his strong opposition to the name change, stressing that it not only has no merit but also ignores the identity and traditions of the university. .
“Our attention is once again drawn to the attempt by the authorities of Ho University of Technology and the government to change the name of the institute to Ephraim Am Technical Institute. We would like to reaffirm our strong opposition to the government’s decision to rename the university without doing so.
“The Asori Provincial Council considers the decision to change the name of the facility without proper consultation to be an unfortunate, misguided and disrespectful decision.”
