Popular Ghanaian comedian Kyekyeku, born Bismark Ofori, has said he will not demand compensation for taking part in a protest against Ghana’s frequent blackouts.
This comes after comedian Waris shared with United Showbiz that he would demand payment to partner his brand with a company that will be involved in a protest against irregular power outages.is

In an exclusive interview with YEN.com.gh, the 1957 filmmaker he said he would not condemn his fellow entertainer for asking for monetary compensation before taking to the streets to lash out at dumsor because there may be personal reasons.

“I don’t know why he said that. everyone has a personal life. But we are all Ghanaians and we have to be there for the people. I may say I won’t charge, but someone will.
“I’m doing it for me, as dumsor affects everyone. So, I do it for myself and for people. I am not arguing that charging for a demonstration is wrong because everyone has their own motivation,” Kyekyeku said. YEN.com.gh.
Kyekyeku will premiere the 1957 film in Europe-U.S
Speaking about plans for his historic premiere of the 1957 film, Kyekyeku revealed that he plans to reach out to his fans in Europe and the US.
“We are working to premiere the movie outside Ghana, in France, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. After that, we would move to the US and announce the date this year,” Kyekyeku said.

Kyekyeku amazes Ghanaians as he speaks fluent English
In an earlier story, YEN.com.gh reported that Ghanaian actor Kyekyeku left his fans in awe with his fluent English during his recent appearance on TV3’s The Afternoon Show.
The actor, who primarily speaks Twi, showed off his English proficiency by answering questions from the hosts in an even manner.
The actor, who has carved a niche for himself as a Twi actor and makes his films mostly in the local language, showed a side of him that many didn’t know. His fluency and command of English throughout the interview pleasantly surprised many as they were not used to seeing him speak English.
