With this in mind, we are incredibly proud to join KNCCI in what we believe is not only a critical step for SMEs, but especially women-led businesses, in equipping them with the digital tools to significantly advance their economy. This increased visibility and credibility will open doors to new opportunities for collaboration, trade and development, ultimately driving the Kenyan economy forward and positioning our SMEs for success in the global marketplace.”
The big picture
According USAID (US Agency for International Development)SMEs generate almost a third of Kenya’s total GDP, but despite their significant economic impact, many businesses still face significant barriers to establishing a credible online presence.
This is mainly because the current tools are too complicated, the requirements for an international credit card or the registration of websites in places where trust is difficult to measure, creating significant barriers to access and conversion of new customers.
