Strategic Mobilization Limits (SML).
He noted that it is concerning that someone like Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Malkin defends the GRA-SML agreement.
Ohene-Ntou stressed that the deal did not meet any of the conditions for sole procurement, but SML was selected for the deal because it is a “start-up”.
Majority Leader Afenyo-Malkin responded to calls for the full release of the KPMG report on the GRA-SML agreement.
Addressing a press conference in Accra on Friday, May 3, Eftu asserted that “no one has the right to ask for a copy of the report.”

“There is no question that this document is advisory and an opinion that is guiding the President’s decision-making.
“Therefore, no one has the right to demand too much because the law says that for the sake of transparency and good governance, public documents are available to the public and the public has the right to receive them. It is also an authentic written document of the President,” Afenyo-Malkin said.

But speaking on TV3 Important points Speaking on Saturday’s show, Nana Ohene Ntou said the SML contract in its current form is similar to the ECG and PDS contracts.
“This issue is of great concern, especially with PDS in mind…PDS was not going to generate electricity, it was not going to provide transmission facilities, it was only collecting revenue. The arrangement is very similar to this. [GRA-SML deal]. And they will raise the concerns of state-minded citizens. ”
“All the illegalities have been established beyond a shadow of a doubt, and this is a contract that should not be ordered in isolation. And all the explanations and conditions under which sole procurement is possible… none of these… Even though the requirements are not met, sole procurement will be chosen.
“This is a fledgling company, it doesn’t have any experience, it doesn’t have a parliament, and government officials, including Majority Leader Afenyo-Markin, are defending this issue. So that’s very worrying.” he pointed out.
