Dolmaahene leader Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II has challenged New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to focus only on specific regions when choosing his deputy for the 2024 elections. I advised him not to guess.
Mr Dolmahene, who expressed his concerns during a meeting between Mr Bawumia and the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, stressed the importance of considering qualified candidates from different regions rather than limiting the selection to a particular region. .
He warned that such a move could alienate voters in other regions and hurt the party’s electoral prospects.
“I see that you haven’t chosen a running mate yet, but if you have, I haven’t heard.
“Sometimes we want to prove that it is only from there that a particular region chooses its vice presidential candidate,” he submitted.
he continued. “But I don’t think like that. Please, there are a lot of people in other areas too, so if you focus on just one area, only they will vote for you and the rest of me will vote against you. ”
Dolmaahene, who hails from the Bono region, emphasized the presence of qualified candidates from the region and called on the vice president to broaden his selection criteria.
He listed prominent figures in the region and highlighted the suitability of his running mate.
“Please, please, I live in the Bono region and there are qualified candidates here as well.

“I’m not saying it’s not good to have people from other regions, but we have Mr. Martin Adjei-Korsa, Mr. Ignatius Baffour-Awua, Mr. Kwaku Agyemang Manu, all of them for such positions. We want the best for the people who are qualified to serve,” he added.
