In a video clip from the programme, the Miracles are seen receiving handkerchiefs from the production team and wiping away tears as testimonials from free SHS recipients are played.
“When you look at this young woman, what does her future hold? She was looking for an opportunity to secure her future… Let’s protect her and go from there. Let’s not abandon this mission.” Miracles can be heard crying.
The NPP maintains that the opposition flag-bearer, former President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), will scrap the policy unless Bawumia succeeds President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2025.
In an earlier interview, Miracles Aboagye maintained that things would get worse in Ghana if the opposition National Democratic Congress came to power.
He said the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has done a good job in handling the cedi to dollar exchange rate given the challenges it has faced.
Aboagye, speaking with Bola Ray on StarChat, said: “I am sure that if the dollar had been moving that fast in August 2014 and the same manager was here, we would have bought the dollar at GHc25. Can you tell us what was happening when the cedi rose from 1.2 cedis to the dollar to 3.9 cedis in 2014?”
“When you run an organisation you run it on conditions, conditions determine where you move your organisation. In Ghana today, with the challenges we face in the global economy, if these managers had been in charge from 2020 to now, we would have been buying a dollar at GHc 25 or GHc 30 because in 2014 there was no reason to hold the dollar at that level.” Aboagye said.
