Ghanaian footballer, Emmanuel Noel Asare Adams popularly known as Marcelo, and his friends died untimely when their car got trapped in floodwaters on the Accra-Tema Expressway.
The late Noel Adams was on his way home on Saturday 25th May 2024 when the tragic incident occurred at Abattoir Bridge.
Initial reports emerged that Adams, a 25-year-old left-back, had not returned home, prompting friends and family to launch a search.
The wrecked car was found in the lagoon at Rasibi Kuragon Bridge on Tuesday afternoon.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service subsequently pulled the damaged vehicle from the culvert and conducted a search, discovering two bodies in separate locations, one in Tema Community 19 and the other on a beach in Culagon, but the players were nowhere to be found.
Noel Adams’ body was eventually found on the beach at Craggong.
The player appears to have decided to let off two people who were heading in his direction.
On reaching the Abattoir Bridge on the Accra-Tema Expressway, Adams’ car became trapped in the rain and was washed down a drain.
The late Noel Adams (25 years old) played as a left back for the QTF Academy.
