E ON E Group and Asantehene
The E ON 3 Group and its key partners are using the peace initiative of King Otumfo Osei Tutu II to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his coronation.
Recognized as a “Pillar of Peace”, His Majesty Mohammed has undertaken a number of peace initiatives spanning politics, education and chiefdom over the past 25 years and E ON 3 Group and its key partners see fit to continue building on that success.
Activities
Chairman of E ON 3 Group, Mr Richard Ajayi Mensah Ofori-Atta, said several activities have been planned to spread the good deeds of the monarch.
“We will put up billboards and produce a documentary on Otumfuo’s peace work.”

Ofori-Atta called for peace ahead of the 2024 elections, something he said the Asantehene has always advocated for.
Dealing with a difficult transition of power
Key among Otumfuo’s peace initiatives was facilitating and mediating the difficult political transition.
These were evident in the 2000, 2008, 2012 and 2016 elections, where he played various roles to ease tensions and ensure a peaceful transition of power.
Dagbon Crisis
Otumfuo led a distinguished committee of chiefs that restored peace to Dagbon after years of bloody chieftaincy disputes.
For his work in conflict resolution and other peace efforts, the Asantehene received the “Pillar of Peace” award at the first African Premier Leadership Awards ceremony held in Kumasi on December 29, 2019.
Also, on December 12, 2021, E ON 3 Group, with the authorization of the Bank of Ghana, in collaboration with its partners, launched the Otumfuo commemorative gold coin to celebrate the success of the Dagon Peace Process.
After its release, the 24-karat gold coins were presented to several notable people and organizations.
The first recipient was KGL Group, who purchased the first coins at launch, followed by Otumfuo himself.
I share the honor of the gold coin with all Ghanaians
On December 20, 2021, a delegation from E ON 3 Group and its partners visited Manhyia Palace to present Otumfuo with a gold coin.
“The commemorative coin is an honour which I share with my country, Ghana,” Otumfuo said.
Otumfuo said since assuming office, he has not focused peace efforts only on Ashantiman but has ensured that any steps he takes to promote peace benefit the entire country.
