Stonebwoy’s road to becoming the reigning TGMA Artiste of the Year widened the gap between the artiste and some industry figures including 3Music founder Baba Sadiq.
This comes after Sadiq kicked off his campaign by supporting King Promise for the Artiste of the Year award.
Shortly after Sadiq started his campaign, he accused Stonebwoy of verbally abusing his wife on the phone.
Stonebwoy drags Baba Sadiq to court
Sadiq’s attack on Stonebwoy came after the artiste refused to perform at a concert in April. Baba Sadiq, who is on the NDC ticket to claim the parliamentary seat in the area, organized the concert.

Baba Sadiq accused Stonebwoy of disrespecting his wife because he was not comfortable with the politician’s attempt to endorse King Promise for Artiste of the Year.
In a petition, Stonebwoy asked the court ordered Baba Sadik to delete his online posts accusing him of disrespecting his wife and to apologize for his accusations. He also sought three million in damages for the damage to his reputation caused by Baba Sadiq’s posts.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Stonebwoy shared a misleading remark about Shatta Wale during his recent appearance in Legon.
During his performance, Stonebwoy asked the audience to wave their phone lights. He said:
“There is no thief in Liman. Put your phones down. There is no artist thief. There is no thief in Liman.”
