Ghanaian disc jockey, DJ Slim, has criticised the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, for supporting the Presidential bid of the Leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
According to him, Mr Ken Agyapong’s reputation as an honest politician in encouraging Ghanaians to vote for Dr Bawumia is questionable and a cause for concern in the political world.
The DJ noted that Dr Bawumia has not lived up to the expectations of Ghanaians as Vice President and his candidacy for the presidency has been called into question.
DJ Slim, on his show, Street Watching, questioned why Dr Bawumia has failed to reduce import tariffs as he promised and would not take such measures until he assumes office.
“The current Vice President has said that if we vote for him, he will reduce import tariffs. Mr. Chairman, why stop the subsidy now? An honest man like Ken Agyapong can sit on the stage with a man who was given a mandate for eight years but failed to perform it. You can’t believe this man [Bawumia] He is the right man for Ghana.
“Where is your honesty? You ran against him for leadership because you didn’t believe in his principles,” DJ Slim said.
It would be recalled that Ken Agyapong, despite past rivalry, supported Dr Bawumia as the right person to lead Ghana.
The move came as a surprise to most people, who were shocked by the lawmaker’s actions given his initial stance.
The vice president has faced intense criticism for promising to lower import tariffs if elected president.

Simply put, Bawumia believes all Ghanaians are stupid. Strangely, it is the hungry fools who are busily spreading his dishonest election message. pic.twitter.com/qUUIPT6EUn
