Mona Faiz Montrage (aka Hajia4Real) will serve a one year and one day sentence in a Connecticut state prison.
Matthew Russell of Inner City Press confirmed that the inmate would be sent directly to Ghana after completing her sentence, saying “she (Hazia Forial) wanted to go to Danbury (Prison).”
GhanaWeb has so far gathered some information about the facility, which is a low-security federal prison.
“The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Danbury is made up of three facilities:
Facilities: FCI (low security male), FSL (federal satellite low security female), and
“SCP (Satellite Prison Camp-Female),” the handbook seen by GhanaWeb reads.
Regarding its location, the handbook states: “Danbury Federal Penitentiary is located three miles north of the city of Danbury, Connecticut, on U.S. Route 37. Interstate 84 passes through the city, making it a major artery for east-west travel.”
Our research also revealed that Danbury, Connecticut is about 70 miles away from downtown New York City.
Travel from New York City’s three major airports to Danbury by limousine, bus or train. Buses and taxis are also available in Danbury.
