A few days ago, a Ghanaian man openly confessed to having a relationship with a 14-year-old girl on Kumasi’s Sompa FM.
This issue sparked public outrage on social media with many Ghanaians calling for his arrest.

On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, the Ghana Police Service arrested radio presenter Nana Poku Piesie for questioning.
Reacting to the arrest, popular Ghanaian councilor, George Lutherodt condemned Nana Poku Piesie for his past mistakes.

Having confirmed his conviction, Councilor Lutherodt also appealed to the Ghana Police Service to pervert justice with mercy, saying the man only shared a testimony of past regret.
Councilor Lutherodt said he believed Nana Poku Piesie showed sufficient remorse when she confessed to the crime on the radio.
“The man is wrong, he didn’t act responsibly, but the situation in which he spoke, he was confessing to something he did a few years ago, so we shouldn’t treat him harshly,” he said.
Councilor Lutherodt made these remarks while speaking to Accra-based Angel FM, in a video seen by YEN.com.gh in X.

Confident little girl teaches an adult how to speak the local language
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that a lady on TikTok shared a touching video showing a little girl teaching her the Igbo language.
The clever little girl, who is her cousin, showed a lot of confidence and fluency in the mother tongue.
Even some TikTok users who saw the video said they learned Igbo words from the toddler.
