Popular Ghanaian music duo Keche have expressed their frustration with the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) over the alleged insufficient royalties being distributed to musicians.
During an interview on Showbiz TV, the duo complained about the perceived incompetence of the organization and the reported lack of royalties, despite their numerous hit songs.
Ketse stated that despite their success in the music industry, they have not received as much as GH¢500 from GHAMRO. They also said that this situation is not unique to them, but affects the entire industry.

They pointed out that even well-known artistes like Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have reportedly not received significant amounts from the organization.
Keche stressed that no musician can boast of receiving substantial royalties, stating that sums like GH¢20,000 are unheard of. They expressed their disappointment at the continuous cycle of meetings and discussions that did not lead to tangible results.
Keche also questioned its effectiveness GHAMRO and the rationale behind attending meetings that do not change.
They expressed their displeasure, stating that despite their dedication and numerous successes over the years, the financial returns from GHAMRO have been negligible. The duo also challenged MUSIGA and the government for not doing anything about the situation.
