The company said in a statement that it will leverage technology to tap into the growing demand for African content and give Nigerian creators a voice on the global stage.

Nile Media’s launch comes as Nigeria’s entertainment industry continues to grow, contributing about 5% to the country’s gross domestic product.

According to the group, it operates through five entities: Nile Entertainment, Nile Cinemas, Nile Motion Pictures, Nile Studio Lab and Nile Foundation.
He explained that Nile Entertainment would handle distribution across Africa, the US, the UK, Canada and other key international markets including South America, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
According to Babatope, Nile Entertainment has secured both local and international distribution rights for more than 31 titles.
