The Lead Member of the National Assembly’s Committee on Finance, Isaac Adongo, has assured Ghanaians that John Mahama would solve the country’s economic problems if re-elected.
Speaking to NDC supporters at the launch of the party’s election campaign in Tamale, Isaac Adongo said the NDC administration in the past few years has been the best government in addressing economic challenges.
According to him, the NDC is not going to have a president who will sell mobile phones to Ghanaian youths instead of solving the country’s economic problems.
The Bolgatanga Central Senator noted that the challenge facing Ghanaians goes beyond just selling mobile phones to Ghanaians and getting them to pay for them in one or two cedi instalments.
“I can assure you that as long as John Dramani Mahama is in office, you will not see the Presidency tiptoeing around the alley selling mobile phones for GHC1 or GHC2.”
“We will find solutions to solve our country’s problems and create opportunities for our youths. The only party that has a history of solving our nation’s tough economic problems is the NDC,” he asserted.
His comments came following a promise by the NPP flagbearer and Vice President, Dr Bawumia, who has pledged to set up a credit scoring system that will enable people to buy mobile phones on credit and pay a cedi or two at the end of each month.
