It said the merger aims to deliver a service experience unmatched in the industry. This, he said, will be in addition to their promise of timely payment of claims.
Speaking in an interview on the Super Morning Show on Accra-based Joy FM on Thursday, August 22, 2024, Tawiah Ben-Ahmed said: βIt is important for us to build capacity, systems, technology and everything to ensure that beyond ββfrom this product we offer you, we back it up with a service experience you’ll love.”
“We aim to ensure that all of our customers experience our superior customer service culture and that paying claims is our business, but we will go the extra mile to ensure that your experience with us leaves you with a confidence in your insurance that you may not have had, “, he added.
This commitment comes as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance trust and credibility in the insurance industry, highlighting the critical role insurance plays in protecting assets, lives and livelihoods across Ghana.
Highlighting the strength of the merger in Ghana, Tawiah Ben-Ahmed said: “The good thing about this merger is that Allianz has over 100 years of providing insurance services and Sanlam also has 100 years of providing insurance in Africa. The combined experience of These two entities are what drive us to Ghana. There are 80 subsidiaries under the new umbrella, each contributing to our collective expertise and service delivery.β
This merger, according to the CEO, created a powerful synergy, combining best practices and innovations from two industry giants to offer comprehensive insurance solutions tailored to the needs of Ghanaians.
Tawiah Ben-Ahmed also emphasized the importance of insurance to safeguard both tangible and intangible assets.
He emphasized that insuring homes, vehicles, businesses, wages, and even life itself is critical to ensuring financial stability in the face of unforeseen events.
“Insurance is more than just a financial product. it is a lifeline that can protect you and your loved ones from financial hardship. Whether it’s your home, your business or your life, having adequate insurance coverage can be the difference between a quick recovery and lasting financial stress,β he explained.
Despite the obvious benefits of insurance, the CEO pointed to a worrying trend in Ghana.
“The 2023 National Insurance Commission report shows that insurance penetration in Ghana is 1.07%. However, the report says insurance companies pay GHΒ’8.9 million daily in claims. This highlights that while insurance pays , there is considerable room for improvement in insurance Penetration and coverage is the whole essence of the SanlamAllianz Insurance brand in Ghana,β he said.
He elaborated that his outfit is dedicated to bridging this gap by raising awareness of the value of insurance and making it more accessible to the general population.
The company aims to not only provide excellent services to its current clients, but also to expand its reach and ensure that more Ghanaians are protected.
βOur aim is to empower generations to be financially secure, secure and prosperous with a vision to ensure that we deliver the most amazing services to Ghanaians with the brand promise of living with confidence,β he said.
Tawiah Ben-Ahmed also encouraged individuals and businesses to take proactive measures to secure their future by investing in comprehensive insurance coverage.
βWe believe in the power of insurance to transform lives. We are here to provide you with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that your assets, life and loved ones are protected,β he concluded.
