Afia Pokua, the media personality accused of defaming Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Mona Gucci’s show on Onua TV, has spoken after her appearance at Manhyia Palace.
Appearing as a panelist, Afia Pokua had criticized the Asantehene for ‘galamsey’ and other issues.
Kasapa FM and TV personality Agoo also called out Otumfuo for βkeeping quietβ while his own people verbally attacked the Dormaahene.
Afia Pokua’s Criticism and Rejection of Otumfuo’s Apology
Her criticism provoked an angry response from the Asantes and other Ghanaians, who saw it as a show of disrespect to Otumfuo.

Asanteman youth condemn disrespect to Otumfuo
Meantime, YEN.com.gh reported that the Asanteman Youth For Culture and Development had warned the Asantehene’s critics to stop attacking their king.
The group, at a press conference held in Kumasi on Friday, September 20, 2024, said it would no longer tolerate any form of disrespect towards the Otumfuo.
Moving forward, the group said it would take drastic action against any group or individual who dared to disrespect the Otumfuo.
