Ghanaian media personality and musician, Black Rasta, comes after Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia promised to make national service voluntary for graduates of various tertiary institutions if elected president. , has a strong interest in him.
He said national service is essential to the country because it gives graduates work experience that will help them find a job after graduation.
He further asserted that in some rural areas of Ghana, individuals are also learning from their environment, as they are not taught by graduates, but are taught by such people through national service.
Speaking on the Urban Blend program monitored by Ghanaweb, Mr. Black Rasta fumed that Dr. Bawumia’s promise to make National Service voluntary was a desperate attempt by him to gain power by any means necessary. I warned them to be careful.
“People come from Accra, they go to Saraga, they go to areas where there is no electricity, where you have to walk several miles to even find proper drinking water. They are the same graduates who come back and go into politics. “When they go into it, at least they’ve seen firsthand what kind of suffering other communities are going through. Again, it’s a way to give back to the country. .”
“And if you have men in state service who are power-hungry and power-desperate, you’re going to chip away at it, and it’s going to be arbitrary. They’re not patriots, they’re malicious A comedian. They’re ready to destroy this country.” he asked.
It will be recalled that Dr. Bawumia, in his New Chapter speech on his vision for the nation, said he intended to make national service voluntary if elected President of Ghana.
