The late Wofa KK, popular presenter of Oman FM
Kenneth Takiyi Agyapong, Director of Television at Kencity Media, said the life of popular radio presenter Kwabena Kwakye, also known as Wofa KK, could have been saved if traffic conditions had been better.
According to him, in the early hours of February 14, 2024, Wofa KK lost consciousness, called for help, and was rushed to the hospital in two cars. [Wofa] However, due to the traffic situation around Okponro, they were unable to reach the hospital on time.
Narrating what happened in a YouTube video, the director said that when they arrived at the traffic zone, they got out of the car, took off their footwear and ran down the road begging drivers to give way, but they did not. I don’t even mention it often.
“When we went to the hospital, we took two cars and put on two hazard lights so we could get from the office area to Tamaponro. With the hazard lights on and the horns blaring, no one was on the road. I got out of the car, took off my shoes and ran in the middle of the road to ask the driver to give way. Still no one paid any attention to us.
“Honestly, I learned yesterday that some drivers are really evil. I’m saying that because if it was a Land Cruiser he would give way. Our car would take him to the hospital. There were two cars honking their horns just to take me there,” he said.
Popular radio presenter Kwabena Kwakye went to work on February 14, lost consciousness during production and died.
