Mindware, one of the leading regional IT value-added distributors in the Middle East and Africa, has announced the launch of its Cloud Marketplace in Cote d’Ivoire to serve sub-Saharan African countries.
Mindware Marketplace will drive Cloud adoption by providing the channel community with an exceptional transaction experience, along with an extensive range of Cloud solutions and services.
Customers and partners in Côte d’Ivoire and neighboring countries can now take advantage of the Marketplace to shop in Central African CFA franc currency.
Mindware’s goal is to be the “Cloud Distributor of Choice,” aggregating multiple Cloud solutions and helping partners build and commercialize subscription-based Cloud and Anything-as-a-Service (XaaS) solutions.
Mr. Silmi Khanfir, Cloud Director at Mindware comments: “We are excited to launch Mindware’s Cloud Marketplace in our sub-Saharan Africa hub in Cote d’Ivoire to offer our partners a range of centralized Cloud solutions from various hyperscale private cloud providers . and ISVs, in addition to our professional and support Cloud services. This approach helps partners and their customers on their digital transformation journey and enables them to cross-sell and up-sell, with the convenience of invoicing and billing in local currency. The Marketplace provides a seamless user experience, and the platform’s API integrations automate the subscription and consumption management required for high-volume Cloud and XaaS businesses.”
The launch is part of Mindware’s strategic geographic expansion related to Cloud in Africa, keeping in mind the positive growth expectations in Cote d’Ivoire and West Africa in general.
The Marketplace, in addition to making it easy and intuitive to buy Cloud services, will offer partners the ability to create and manage their own “white-label storefront,” thereby offering Cloud solutions directly to end customers. It will enable partners to provide Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings through the platform. The interface is intuitive and helps partners place orders faster and offers recommendations when products are purchased to provide an optimized solution.
With the inclusion of Ivory Coast, Cloud Marketplace has expanded its reach to a total of ten countries, covering the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Lebanon, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia. Currently, there are over 500 trading partners in this network.
“Over the past 3 years, we have witnessed an accelerated transition from the traditional on-premise and perpetual licensing model to the subscription model, leading to a significant increase in the growth of online shopping. This transformation is driven by two main factors. First, customers and resellers demand a better user experience when purchasing vendor solutions. Second, vendors are increasingly moving toward XaaS models, based on cloud consumption and subscription. These trends have created the need for marketplaces that offer improved user experiences, automated ordering, invoicing and billing processes, and insights into the solutions purchased and services consumed,” concluded Khanfir.
