The invitation, said to have been sent by the regional executive committee and signed by the party’s regional secretary, Mr. Kwame Adom Appiah, was presented to the Manhyia South constituency chairman by Mr. Paul Kwabena Yando, the regional communications director. It was assumed that the petition had been filed. The matter concerns the regional chairman, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi.
After a lengthy and thorough discussion of the allegations contained in the Regional Communications Director’s petition and the subsequent invitation letter sent by the Regional Executive Committee to the Manhire South Constituency Chairperson, the party committee In solidarity with our party, we would like to express the following: My colleague TomTom.
1. The Party believes in due process and the same must be followed even when Party members are subpoenaed.
2. We abhor anything that disturbs the party’s peace and destroys the party’s front in our home Ashanti region ahead of the December 7 elections. We have vowed to do everything in our power to ensure the victory of our standard-bearer, the Doctor. Mahamudu Bawumia won by a landslide, with parliamentary candidates winning all seats.
3. No Regional Executive Council meeting has been held in which matters involving the Manhire South Constituency Chairman were discussed.
4. The existence of a disciplinary committee and its members are unknown.
5. Concerned that matters not discussed by the Regional Executive Committee may be referred to a non-existent disciplinary committee.
6. We fully support our colleague, Manhire South Constituency Chairman, in any move he makes to defend his position on the issues at issue.
7. We emphasize that the process used to invite colleagues is not appropriate and therefore strongly recommend that you follow the correct route when inviting colleagues.
8. Our statement is a positive one as all constituency chairs in the region risk facing a similar situation if those behind the fake letters and invitations succeed in their move. This is a measure.
9. We strongly believe that the local party chairman does not know about the invitation. Because that’s not how he works. We know that our regional party chairs know the law and will never follow the established laws of our party.
10. We hereby call on the Regional Party Chairman to issue orders against all those who seek to tarnish the reputation of the Party Chairman and the Party in the region.
