Popular Ghanaian singer Sista Afia has expressed her displeasure at the Ghana Music Awards (GMA), the organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), for not being nominated at all in the 2024 edition of the awards.

Sista Afia questioned the Ghana Music Awards if she had unknowingly insulted them and if that was why she was not nominated at the 25th TGMA 2024.
She stated that her hit song Asuoden topped the charts and made waves in 2021.
“Did I offend anyone at the Ghana Music Awards?
Sista Afia made further allegations against the famous awards program saying:
“I learned that people don’t even submit nominations, they receive nominations, downgrading my efforts since I started doing music in Ghana was not fair to my art.”
Expressing her displeasure, the Maradona singer said she was hurt that she didn’t get a single nomination, adding that she works so hard.

He also stated that he respects TGMA and did not want to step on any toes of the organizers. She wrote:
And yes, it hurts because I work so hard. I’ve been quiet for so long because I respect the plan and I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes!

YEN.com.gh reported that rapper Jay Bahd has sued the organizers of the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) for not nominating him for the 2024 edition.
He shared a picture of one of his songs titled Odo which he thought deserved a nomination.
Jay Bahd’s post sparked debate online as many shared their opinions on why he failed to secure a nomination at the TGMAs.
