Through this partnership, Bolt will leverage M-KOPA’s fintech platform to make electric motorcycle ownership affordable, significantly reducing the costs associated with electric motorcycles for riders.

This approach is expected to lead to saving about 40%. in total cost of ownership compared to gasoline engines. By subsidizing the cost of the vehicle, Bolt enables riders to choose an electric motorcycle at a price equal to or lower than an equivalent gasoline alternative.
With reduced energy and maintenance costs, drivers can potentially reduce the operating costs of their vehicles by up to 75%.
Riders on the Bolt platform will be able to access an electric bike as low as KES 10,000- 15,000through vehicle financing, provided by the partnership between M-KOPA, ROAM, and Ambersand.
