George Oti Bonsu is an investor in NPP and brother of Ken Agyapong.
George Oti Bonsu, a Ghanaian businessman and New Patriotic Party financier, has spoken out about the events leading up to the demolition of the building in Accra, allegedly by Abu Ramadan, a relative of Second Lady Samira Bawumia. Provided more detailed information.
He said former President John Agyokum Kufuor intervened and tried to resolve the issue amicably, but Abu Ramadan ignored his intervention.
The younger brother of Kennedy Agyapong, who made this claim in an interview with Accra-based OK FM on April 24, 2024, said Mr. Kufuor was a candidate for the election of New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He said he tried to mediate through his advisor, Fred O’Ware. It was a stalemate, but his efforts were foiled by Abu Ramadan.
He claimed that Fred Owaree asked for patience from Abu Ramadan on the instructions of John Kufuor, but the second woman’s brother did not heed his calls.
“I went to talk to President Kufuor about this and he said that washing dirty linen in public is not ideal. So he (former President Kufuor) told Fred Owere I called and told them what was going on and the Vice President said he was traveling to South Africa and could not call me.
“So I left President Kufuor’s house and went to meet Fred O’Ware at his office near Alisa Hotel. We met him (Fred O’Ware) and told him everything and he I said I would call Abu Ramadan because (Abu Ramadan) represents my sister (Samira Bawumia),” he narrated on Twitter.
Mr. Oti Bonsu said that after Fred Owale contacted Mr. Abu Ramadan, he (Mr. Ramadan) told him (Mr. Owale) that he had purchased the land when their father was an officer of the Ghana Police Service. He said he said he did.
He added that the vice president’s campaign adviser invited Abu Ramadan to a meeting, but two days after the invitation his property was demolished.
“Fred said I should meet him, and he (Ramadan) asked what we had to discuss again. And Fred said to him, “Since the elder has raised the matter before me, I must go and answer him.” Therefore, we need to meet and discuss this issue to know what feedback to give him. ”
“Mr. Abu Ramadan said he was going to see his father, and Mr. Fred Owaleh said he would contact him after meeting his father. It was two days after this that they demolished the building,” he said. .
