KK Fosu has expressed his confidence in the ability of Ghanaian Highlife artistes to fill the iconic 02 Arena in London.
The musical ace insisted in a recent interview that it would not be an insurmountable task for the genre’s leading actresses.
KK Fosu’s claim comes on the heels of rapper Medikal’s sold-out concert at Indigo 02, a feat that has reignited discussions on the global reach of Ghanaian music.
“Highlife music is big out there and I think some of our Highlife artists can fill the O2 Arena,” said Fosu GNA Entertainment.

The Anadwo Yede the hitmaker, who has performed Highlife music worldwide, pointed out that the genre often exceeds expectations in terms of its global acceptance.
“Sometimes we underestimate the popularity of Highlife music on the world stage,” he said.
Fosu, who will celebrate 25 years in the music industry this year with a much-anticipated concert, believes Highlife artistes can replicate the success of their counterparts in other genres by fostering unity and supporting each other’s endeavours.
“I’ve performed all over the world and the reception I get performing Highlife is just amazing. I believe a Highlife artist will fill the O2 Arena one day,” he confidently declared.
However, Fosu acknowledged that achieving such a feat would require collaboration among Highlife musicians in Ghana, drawing inspiration from the camaraderie of artists such as Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Medikal, who have supported each other’s recent international appearances.

“Highlife musicians should come together and support each other to make it happen like Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Medikal did,” advises Fosu.

Meanwhile, KK Fosu has declared his support for Nana Kwame Bediako’s New Power Movement.
In an interview with Abeiku Santana, the musician revealed that he is neither in the NPP nor the NDC.
