We act as counsel to the Secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante, and we write on his instructions.
Our client’s attention is drawn to a false article published on amnewsworld.com by Ohene Anochie on Thursday, May 16, 2024, with the headline “Asante Bediatuo advises Canadian embassy to reduce visa issuance rate for Ghanaians.” We focused on online publications.
The publication alleges that the firm’s clients “secretly advised the Canadian Embassy in Ghana to reduce visa issuance rates for Ghanaian nationals.” In a secret meeting with His Excellency Christopher Thornley, Mr. Bediatuo announced that Ghana was losing a lot of its young and dynamic workforce to other countries.
The same false article was republished by Joshua Kwabena Smith of thinknewsonline.com.
We are directed to inform the public that the publications mentioned above are patently false and that similar ones should be ignored and treated with due contempt.
