Patoranking Foundationa non-profit organization with a mission to advance Africa through education, entrepreneurship and empowerment, has announced the launch of Patoranking Foundation Technical Scholarships $500,000.

In strategic partnership with ALX Africa, a leading technology education provider, the scholarships will give 40 tech-savvy young Africans access to a variety of transformative technology programs in data analytics, cloud computing and Salesforce administration. The collaboration aims to prepare scholars to become the next pioneers in technology.
About the Scholarship
Founded by an African musician, Patrick Okorie aka Patorankingthe Patoranking Foundation uses research, advocacy and partnerships to deliver transformative education programs and market-ready business skills to exceptional young leaders in Africa.
Having invested over $1 million in the education of young people in Africa over the past six years, the introduction of a $500,000 Technical Scholarship in partnership with ALX Africa, marks a new chapter in the Foundation’s mission.

From 30 May 2024, 40 outstanding candidates will have the opportunity to participate in world-class technology training programmes, developing technology skills sought by leading global employers.
Applicants will ideally already be change makers in their community and as part of their fellowship will have the opportunity to receive internship opportunities with leading global technology companies to bridge the gap between theory and real practice. The Tech Scholarship is open to promising tech-savvy candidates from across Africa.
Applicants must successfully complete the ALX admissions process and recipients will be selected after reviewing individual videos and application essays submitted on the institution’s website.

The Patoranking Foundation has leveraged partnerships to provide promising young leaders with access to top educational institutions under the Sky Level Initiative. In 2020, the Foundation awarded full scholarships to 10 scholars from eight African countries, including Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda and Liberia, to enable them to study at the African Leadership University (ALU) in Rwanda or Mauritius.
At the primary and secondary level, 170 young students are currently on scholarships at five top schools in Ebonyi State, Nigeria, the founder’s home state.
Requirements
This $500,000 technology partnership with ALX Africa will be open to youth from all parts of Africa between the ages of 18 and 34 at no cost and all related fees covered. Beneficiaries can choose to learn fully remotely or at any of ALX Africa’s hubs at Johannesburg, Accra, Lagos, Casablanca, Addis Ababa, Nairobi, Kigali or Cairo.
Through its concerted efforts, the Foundation hopes to create a ripple effect of change, empowering young people to become architects of their future and catalysts for progress in their communities.
