The Leader of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has given compelling evidence of road infrastructure undertaken in Tatale/Sanguri Constituency in the Northern Region, affirming that government has delivered on its promises to the people.
“When I came here in 2020 to campaign, I promised you that if you give me and the NPP power, we will repair this very important road that connects Tatale to Yendi and Tamale.”
“Today, you can see the massive work that has been done on this road. The 167km road is almost complete. The contractor has told me that it will be completed in two months.”
“This is the longest road that this government has constructed. So you can see that I have delivered on the promises I made to you as your vice president.”
“If you appoint me as your president, you can be sure that I will deliver on my promises to you.”
This was the statement of the NPP leader, Dr Bawumia, who spoke at a community activity in Tatale, Tatale/Sanguri Constituency in the Northern Region, last weekend.
Dr Bawumia said the NPP administration of which he is Vice President has worked very hard to fulfil the promises it made to the people of Tatale/Sanguri Constituency, adding that once he assumes office on December 7, he will work even harder to achieve even more.
“When I took office in 2017, just 17 communities in Tatare/Sangli were connected to the national electricity grid. Today, in just eight years, 44 communities have been connected to the electricity grid. 15 more communities will be added by the end of this year,” he assured the gathered.
“We are addressing the water issue at hand. We have so far drilled 175 boreholes in various communities in the constituency and more are on the way.”
“An Agenda 111 hospital will be built in Tatare/Sangli. Access to agricultural inputs, healthcare and education is also expanding.”
Dr. Bawumia noted that the NPP has demonstrated its commitment to the development of the constituency and urged the people to maintain faith in him and the NPP in the 2024 elections.
“We are addressing the challenges that have plagued the people of this constituency and if you look at the work we have done in Tatale/Sanguri, you will see that the development I have brought to Tatale/Sanguri as Vice President is greater than when my main opponent, Mr John Mahama, was Vice President and President,” Dr Bawumia declared.
“Under the administration of John Mahama, the North regressed but under the administrations of President Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr Bawumia, the North has made great strides. You will witness even more if I become president,” he vowed.
