Lionel Messi, his stunning wife Antonela and their three sons enjoyed some quality family time posing with Ed Sheeran at the British pop star’s concert as the forward’s offseason gets underway following Inter Miami’s exit from the MLS playoffs.
Messi, 36, captured footage of his children Mateo, 8, Thiago, 7, and Ciro, 5, singing along to Sheeran’s ‘Bad Habits’ inside the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday, before sharing it on Instagram. .
In the video, Messi, who is wearing a simple white T-shirt, can be seen smiling as he listens to his children’s voices before bobbing his head to the beat of the song.
There was no caption on his post, which garnered nearly three million likes after an hour of being shared online.
Adidas commented: “Messi x Ed Sheeran”.
Sheeran is currently in the US since June as part of “The Mathematics Tour”, which is expected to conclude in August next year in Europe.
He is scheduled to perform at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on October 28.
Messi, who has led Argentina to the 2022 World Cup, has scored 11 goals in 14 games for Miami this season.
The Herons are winless in their last six league games (three losses, three draws) and have won four, lost four and drawn four in the league since Messi joined the club in mid-July.
The Argentine, who scored twice for his country in a 2-0 win over Peru in World Cup qualifying earlier this month, played in Miami’s final game of the MLS regular season on Saturday, losing 1-0.
Messi is now expected to wear the pink jersey of Miami again on November 5 and 8 when the team plays two exhibition games in China. It will be the first time that Inter Miami goes on tour.
Argentina then have more World Cup qualifiers on November 16 and 21 – after which Messi will have to take an extended break before Inter Miami’s preparations for 2024 begin.
