Alan Shearer slammed Gabriel Jesus last week for “consistently underperforming” but the Arsenal striker hit back at the Newcastle legend in the best possible way on Tuesday night.

“Without wanting to pick him, he’s consistently underperformed in his xG over the last few years,” Shearer said. The Athletebefore referring to a huge miss in the north London derby to show how Jesus failed to fire enough in the final third.

But he took charge and fired up the crowd, which would cost the Gunners a win. This led to Shearer raising concerns about the Arsenal star.
