Brighton & Hove Albion moved up to seventh in the table above Manchester United after sharing the points in a goalless draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Amex Stadium.
It was a second consecutive 0-0 draw for Brighton and means that since the start of their first Premier League season in 2017/18, they have gone 25 goalless draws in the competition, more than any other team.
The match was a landmark night for Brighton James Milnerwho made his 633rd appearance to move into second on the all-time Premier League appearance charts and is now 20 behind Gareth Barry.
How did the match go?
Brighton welcomed back Lewis Dunk in place of Adam Webster, who dropped to the bench, with Tarik Lambtey among the substitutes.
For Wolves, Pedro Neto made his first start since October, while Matt Doherty and Mario Lemina also came into the side as Gary O’Neill made three changes from their last Premier League game, a 3-0 win against Everton on 30 December.
In a first half of few clear-cut chances, the best fell to Brighton on 12 minutes, but Tommy Doyle got behind keeper Jose Sa to clear Facundo Buonanote’s diving header off the line.
Brighton dominated with 69.6 per cent possession but did not pose much of a threat as Joao Pedro’s tame effort did not worry Sa in the least.
It is just the third time this season that Brighton have failed to score in the first half of a Premier League home game, also failing against West Ham United in August and Burnley in December.
Wolves could have taken the lead within seconds of the restart, but Matheus Cunha’s low shot was clawed away by Jason Steele, with the Brazilian firing home the rebound.
At the other end, Pascal Grosz’s corner, aided by the wind, was bent towards goal, but Sa did well to push it away.
Nelson Semedo then produced a superb tackle, sliding in to deny Joao Pedro before Max Kilman almost found his own net as he deflected Jack Hinshelwood’s cross onto the post.

Wolves looked the more threatening of the two sides in the final 15 minutes but Kunia hit wide before Steele dived to his right to keep out a Lemina shot.
Brighton are now seventh with 32 points while Wolves remain in 11th place with 29 points.
