“I call on the head of the civil service to eradicate this behavior. The head of the finance ministry should take strict precautions against public servants like this.”
He said it is inappropriate for public officials to “adopt partisan positions in violation of their oath of service.”
He added: “Indeed, all public servants take an oath, and that oath includes political neutrality, so it is very unfortunate that public servants are reduced to cheerleaders.”
He added that if civil servants lead the way, “it will be extremely impossible for the next government to work with civil servants.”
This is why, since colonial times, the principle of civil service has been neutrality, he explained.
“We must not tolerate this. This partisanship displayed by paid public servants is antithetical to our nation.”
