A high school graduate has expressed frustration after being denied admission to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Miracle Erneston Piyat took to Facebook to share a screenshot of his WASSCE result slip in which he obtained A in 2 subjects, B in 4 subjects, and C4 and D7 in 1 subject respectively.

He also shared a screenshot of his application form and that he had applied to programs including B.SC Computer Engineering, BSC Aerospace Engineering, BSC Computer Science and BSC Chemical Engineering for which he was denied admission.
Despite his initial setback, he wondered if he still had a chance of being accepted by the university.

Ghanaians react to concerns of KNUST applicants
Many people who responded to the post were not optimistic about his chances of securing admission, especially given that he obtained a D7 in elective mathematics.

KNUST new students receive scholarships
Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that KNUST medical student Sampson Davany received a full scholarship to further his education.
He was supported by Mr. Zhenjiang Tang, Chairman and CEO of Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited, a subsidiary of Shandong Gold Group Limited.
Mr Tan promised to support Mr Davani’s six years of medical education with an annual fund of GH¢20,000 to be paid every July. GH¢10,000 will be delivered to the university.
The remaining GH¢10,000 will be given to the learner as maintenance fee.
