Bantama Constituency Member of Parliament, Francis Asenso Boakye, has expressed regret over the outcome of the just concluded New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries in Bantama, saying he did not expect it to be so close. Stated.

Before the election, Kennedy Agyapong accused Asenso Boakye of corruption and urged NPP delegates to vote him out in the primaries.
However, Mr. Asenso-Boakye maintained his candidacy for parliament with 650 votes, representing 78.22% of the total votes cast.
On the other hand, Mr. Agyapong received 181 votes, which is 21.78% of the total.
