Why are players defined?
Adrian Akande: Reading went unbeaten in April as they won two and drew two of their four matches. Akande provided assists in three of his first four games, setting up goals in a 2–2 draw with Spurs, a 3–0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion and a 3–0 win against Manchester City.
Aaron Bott: Not only did Nottingham Forest go unbeaten in April, with two wins and three draws from their five games, but they kept an impressive four clean sheets during that run. Goalie Bott conceded just once and made 13 saves all month.
Amario Cozier-Duberry: The 18-year-old starred for Arsenal in April. He started the month with a goal and an assist in a 2–2 draw at Stoke City before scoring again in another draw against Blackburn Rovers. Cozier-Duberry then finished April with a fine display against Liverpool, scoring twice in a 2-0 win as the Gunners picked up five points from their four PL2 games during the month.
Alfie Harrison: While Newcastle United endured an uneventful month, winning two and losing three of their five matches, Harrison played a key role in both of their victories. He provided two assists in a 3-2 win over West Bromwich Albion and another in a 2-1 win over Stoke City.
Rio Kyerematen: The Spurs midfielder also had a successful month. He provided three assists, two of which were for teammate Lancashire, while he also scored once.
Will Lankshear: January’s PL2 Player of the Month was once again heavily involved in Tottenham’s bid for the title this season. He scored in four of Spurs’ five matches in April, netting five goals in total, including a brace in a 2-0 win over Fulham.
Dujuan Richards: Chelsea enjoyed an unbeaten April as they secured two wins and a draw in their three matches. During those fixtures, Richards scored a goal and provided an assist in a 4-0 win at Aston Villa, scored another in a 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace and finished the month by finding the net in 2. -0 home success against Southampton.
Jack Thompson: The 18-year-old defender has started all five matches in Forest’s unbeaten month and scored their second goal in a 4-0 win against Leeds United.
