Renowned actress and producer Yvonne Nelson has alerted the Ghanaian police about plans for protests related to the unusual power outage.
In a tweet on Thursday, May 9, the actress posted a letter co-signed by herself and two others, indicating her intention to leave for the wake on May 25.
The letter to the police inspector general said the vigil would be held at Revolution Square at 8:30 a.m. and leave the premises at 12 midnight.
“To demonstrate our dissatisfaction with the unacceptable and unstable power supply…to present to the President tangible evidence of the debilitating impact that unstable power supply has on us,” the notice reads in part. ing.

Yvonne Nelson on April 30 invited Ghanaians to join her in an upcoming mass campaign against the recent extraordinary power outages.
It will be recalled that in 2015, during the John Mahama administration, Yvonne Nelson, along with other celebrities, organized a mass demonstration against ‘Damsall’, expressing dissatisfaction with the repeated power outages.
Yvonne Nelson is hoping for a similar vigil and is asking for the public’s support to join the impending protests against Damsall.
The actress made the appeal in an open letter to Ghanaians tweeted on her page on X on Tuesday, April 30th.
“I extend an open call to all Ghanaians, organizations and legal experts who are willing to join me in driving meaningful action to address the current electricity crisis.
“Together we can make our voices heard and force our leaders to prioritize the needs of Ghanaians,” reads an excerpt from her letter to Ghanaians. There is.
