The Ghana Police Service’s Central East Kasoa Command has arrested two more people who claim their genitals have disappeared.
They are Mahamudu Yahaya, a 40-year-old businessman, and Osman Abdul Razak, a 21-year-old student.
The two suspects have been sent to the Auz Brek District Court on charges of publishing false news and deceiving a public official.
Yahaya pleaded guilty in court before Presiding Judge Anil Adboul.
The court postponed his sentencing to April 14, 2024.
In Razak’s case, he pleaded not guilty.
The court granted Razak bail in the total amount of GHc 20,000 with two sureties.
Razak is scheduled to reappear on May 24, 2024.
In the Yahaya case, prosecutor Inspector Evelyn Boyson said the complainants in the case were scrap dealer Mohammed Nasir and fellow scrap dealer Razak Osman, both of whom reside in Tuba, a suburb of Accra. He said there was.
According to the prosecution, Yahaya is a businessman who lives in Kaklava Daun, Kasoa state.
The prosecution said that on March 31, 2024, the complainants rode a tricycle from Kaklava to Kasoa, with the accused also riding along.
On reaching Adom Junction, the accused alighted.
According to the prosecution, the accused along with his brother who was driving a saloon with registration number UE 555-24 chased and stopped the three-wheeler on their way to Kasoa.
The defendant told the complainants that as soon as he got off the train, he felt a burning sensation all over his body, and when he checked his manhood, he noticed that it had shrunk.
The prosecution said the complainants accompanied Yahaya to Kasoa police station where a formal complaint was filed.
A police medical report was issued to Yahaya, and the police accompanied him to the Mother and Child Hospital for medical examination, but the doctor on duty, Dr. GK Aidoo, said in the report that there was no visible change. said. the defendant’s genitals.
In the Razak case, prosecutor Inspector Emelia Gambura said the complainant, Ismaria Adamu, is a scrap dealer from Kasoa, while the defendant, Osman Abdul Razak, is a student.
Prosecutors said the Middle East Police Command had been receiving multiple accusations of missing penises and attacks on innocent people for some time.
The prosecutor said that on March 29, 2024, the complainant went to Kasoa roundabout to collect money and transact telephonic business with a colleague, but was stranded as he could not meet his friend.
The complainant decided to buy a mobile phone at 8:40am on the same day and went to a mobile phone store.
The accused approached him, raised the alarm, and the complainant touched his body, informing those around him that his penis was missing.
The accused were charged and arrested and filed a complaint at Kasoa police station.
The prosecution confirmed in its report that a medical certificate was prepared and with the assistance of the police, the accused was taken for examination to Kasoa General Hospital where he was examined by a team of medical staff led by Dr Robia Dwomo. The penis is “stable, intact, and healthy.”
